@becha A wise man once suggested that expectations are best avoided as unfullfilled hopes (and wishes I suppose) are somehow easier to accept. So, now with this experience in the bag, it seems more likely that your hopes will be met next time, yay!

In Oct 2009 I ran spontaneously behind the Google Streetview car on Borsigstrasse Berlin. One year later the Streetview pictures were published by Google and my action became a performance piece. I called it “15 Seconds Of Fame“. I could be found on the service for a very long time, for almost 14 years. Google never updated the picture set because there were big discussions over privacy questions in Germany back then. But couple weeks ago, on July 25th 2023 Google ran an update and I disappeared from the service. „15 seconds of fame“ turned into almost 15 years ;)) The work is finally complete.

IPV6 routing grumblings

I wonder how routable these IPv6 are or will be in reality. It should be ALL routable, in my experience it isn't. Most ISPs seem to have opted to not allow the customer to opt to do that. I have one domestic ADSL modem that seems to be doing some prefix delegation and then passes all incoming traffic. That works. But it's still a /64. Not that I fully understand where we are with all that, despite yes, having read up on it.
