Now, if only there were better availability of super affordable USB sound cards with Line-In. Most of them only have Mic-in, although they probably have the line-in capacity on the chip, just not connected.
Any recommendations?
Happily surprised to find that I can #stream stereo #radio using #OpenWrt out of the box on a #Mango Mini Wireless Router (the GL-MT300N-V2).
#libopus is only using 40-50% CPU.
I also tried with #lame for #mp3 by the way - which was hopeless. Every possible configuration I could find immediately maxes out the CPU, causing constant overruns.
This is the comand I used:
arecord -q -f S16_LE -c2 -r48000 | \
opusenc --quiet --comp [0-9] --raw --raw-rate 48000 --raw-chan 2 --bitrate 128 - - | \
oggfwd ICECASE_SERVER_IP 8000 hackme stream
You can also get away with higher values for comp (at comp 9 I get about 90% CPU usage, comp 10 is too much for it) bitrate of 256 is also working.

Three days until #39c3 and many people are preparing their first visit at Congress. Welcome! I know many of first timers are planning to help, especially when they got a friends ticket. We do not expect anyone to do work at the event when the have a friends ticket.
Being an Angel at a chaos event is fun but please die not make your whole visit about working there - especially when you are a first timer.

Este fin de semana vamos a ser testigos de una de las lluvias de meteoros más famosa que se da cada año, las Leónidas. Se llaman así porque se observan en dirección de la constelación de Leo.
En México, los días pico serán del 16 al 17 de noviembre, alrededor de las 18:00 hrs GMT.
Sin embargo, será visible casi todo el mes de noviembre aunque con una menor intensidad.
Esta lluvia de meteoros puede verse como tormenta, es decir, con hasta unos mil eventos por minuto.
Su origen se debe a los restos de un cometa llamado 55P/Tempel-Tuttle que tiene un ciclo de 33 años alrededor del Sol.
